Am I possible to convert an encrypted PDF document to Word document?

Quite a lot of people are trying to convert encrypted PDF document to Word document to repurpose the file. The question is whether it is possible for one to do the conversion without the password and with the encryption method adopted unclear.
If the encryption method adopted is clear, is that helpful? For quite many of software applications online, they are able to convert password-protected PDF files to Word, but the password should be available, such as Tweak PDF To Word 3.0, which is released by http://www.tweakpdf.com. This converter supports to convert the encrypted PDF files to Word and with a satisfying conversion result. However, it fails to complete the task to convert the PDF to Word with password unavailable.
I must made myself clear that I offer this solution to solve problems for people who are un-intentionally got lost of their documents but other illegal purposes to harm others’ privacy.
Cases like this should be with a solution of course, but how? The first thing comes to get the password with software tools, too. How to Do If You Forgot Outlook (.pst) Password?

How to Do If You Forgot Outlook (.pst) Password?

E-mail account password

If you have a POP3 (POP3: A common protocol that is used to retrieve e-mail messages from an Internet e-mail server.) e-mail account, and you have a problem with your account password, the following dialog box appears.

outlook password recovery

You can fix the problem by doing the following:

  1. Contact your Internet service provider (ISP) (ISP: A business that provides access to the Internet for such things as electronic mail, chat rooms, or use of the World Wide Web. Some ISPs are multinational, offering access in many locations, while others are limited to a specific region.), and ask the ISP to assign your account a new password. Your old password cannot be retrieved from Outlook.

  2. Update your e-mail account settings with your new password.

    How

    1. On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.Click View or change existing e-mail accounts, and then click Next.Click the e-mail account you want, and then click Change.

Make sure that the settings you see match the information you received from your ISP. You have the option of having Outlook remember your password by typing it in the Password box and selecting the Remember password check box. Although this means that you won't have to type your password each time you access the account, it also means that the account is vulnerable to anyone who has access to your computer.

To verify that your account is working, click Test Account Settings. If any information is missing or incorrect, such as your password, you are prompted to type or correct it. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.

If necessary, make your changes to the appropriate information. If you want to change additional settings, click More Settings. Otherwise, click Next.

    2. Click Finish.

Note Unless specified by your ISP, all server and address entries are typed in lowercase letters. Some ISPs require a combination of lowercase and uppercase letters for passwords to add further security, for example, passWorD. Check with your ISP to see if it requires a case-sensitive password. Use strong passwords that combine upper- and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Weak passwords don't mix these elements. Strong password: Y6dh!et5. Weak password: House27. Use a strong password that you can remember so that you don't have to write it down.

Personal Folders file (.pst) password

If you have password protected a Personal Folders file (.pst) (Personal Folders file (.pst): Data file that stores your messages and other items on your computer. You can assign a .pst file to be the default delivery location for e-mail messages. You can use a .pst to organize and back up items for safekeeping.), when you try to open the .pst file in Outlook, a dialog box similar to the following appears.

Take Outlook Password Unlocker for example, it is a handy program to recover lost or forgotten password of mail and news accounts which stored in protected Personal Storage Files (*.pst) in Microsoft Outlook. All passwords are recovered instantly no matter how long or how complex your password is. Software is very easy to use (just one click) and supporting all versions of Outlook.

How to Recover or Reset Log on Password in Windows 7/Vista/XP/2003/2000/2003/NT?

How to Recover or Reset Log on Password in Windows 7/Vista/XP/2003/2000/2003/NT?

We tend to forget our Windows administrator login password. With no way to get into the system, you can’t even perform basic maintenance, let alone a thorough tune-up. Formatting is always an option, but we consider that a last resort. (Plus, guess who’s going to have to help reinstall all the programs lost after a wipe?) But all hope is not lost. There are a few ways to actually retrieve a lost Windows account password. Read on, and we’ll show you the light.

When we install Windows, it automatically creates an account “Administrator” and sets its password to blank. So if you forgot Windows password then try this:

Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press Ctrl +Alt +Del keys twice and it’ll show Classic Login box. Now type “Administrator” (without quotes) in Username and leave Password field blank. Now press Enter and you should be able to log in Windows.

Now you can reset your account password from “Control Panel -> User Accounts“.

Same thing can be done using Safe Mode. In Safe Mode Windows will show this in-built Administrator account in Login screen.

If you sure that you had completely no idea what your password is, then keep trying these methods.

Method 1: Take a rest

Sometimes, human being is a little weird. You won’t get the thing that you urgently need. So have a coffee, take a snap or even come back after a few days, you may found that you suddenly ‘remember’ your Windows password.

Method 2: Reset Windows password with RESET DISK if you made before.

Windows XP and further versions also provide another method to recover forgotten password by using “Reset Disk”. If you created a Password Reset Disk in past, you can use that disk to reset the password. To know more about it, please visit following links:

Method 3: Recover Windows password from another administrator account

If you cannot log on to Windows by using a particular user account, but you can log on to another account that has administrative credentials, follow these steps on how to do the trick:

1. Log on to Windows by using an administrator account that has a password that you remember. You may need to start WinXP in safe mode.

2. Click Start, and then click Run.

3. In the Open box, type “control userpasswords2“, and then click OK.

windows password

4. Click the user account that you forgot the password for, and then click Reset Password.

5. Type a new password in both the new password and the Confirm new password boxes, and then click OK.

Method 4: TRY command prompt about password reset trick

1. Log in with any valid account.

2. Bring up the command prompt.

Type: net user

You get a list of accounts

Type: net user Administrator *

Type: net user (any account on that list) *

3. It prompts for a password. Enter one, then enter it again when prompted to confirm.

Now, try to log on as ‘Administrator’ with your new password.

* Please note that this might not work on a LIMITED account

Method 5: Use the third part Windows password recovery tool

If above solutions didn’t work, taking use of the third part utility is the best choice. There are a lot of tools and utilities that can be downloaded and used to recover, reset, retrieve or reveal existing password. These windows password recovery utilities, free or paid, are usually a Linux boot disk or CD that able to comes with NT file system (NTFS) drivers and software that will read the registry and rewrite the password hashes, or can brute force crack the password for any user account including the Administrators. The advantage is that there is no fear of leaking your password to outsiders, while the process requires physical access to the console and a floppy or CD drive, depending on which tool you choose. And it’s not easy, although it always work!

Below is the most famous recovery tool I found:

Windows Password Unlocker – it is the most popular Windows password cracker . It is a very efficient implementation of windows any versions. It comes with a Graphical User Interface and runs on multiple platforms. Windows Password Unlocker helps to recover Windows passwords without reinstalling or data loss. It can recover admin password for Windows 7/XP/Vista/NT/2000/2003… You can view more at Password Unlocker Official site: http://www.passwordunlocker.com/products/wpu.html

Why is the Word document locked?

Why is the Word document locked?

If you cannot make changes to a document, your Word program might not be activated, the document might be locked for editing or password-protected, or you might be trying to modify a document or text in a form that is protected.

Note You cannot edit a document that is open in Word Viewer, but you can copy text to the Clipboard to paste it in other applications.

ShowThis command is not available because the document is locked for editing

If you see the following message when you try to modify a document in Word 2003 or Word 2002: "This command is not available because the document is locked for editing," your Word program might not be activated. To check, do the following:

  • On the Help menu, click Activate Product.

If Word is activated, a message tells you that the product was already activated. If Word is not activated, the Office Activation Wizard appears to guide you through the activation process.

Note You can open a Word document even if the program is not activated, but you cannot use many commands and you cannot save the document.

ShowThe document is locked for editing by another user

If you see the following message when you try to modify a document in Word 2000 or Word 2002: "The document is locked for editing by another user," Word previously might have shut down improperly while the file was still open.

The document also might be locked for editing if the original version of the document is already open, or if the document is shared over a network and another user opened it. This applies to Word 2000, 2002, and 2003.

Note If the Group similar taskbar buttons option is selected, the original version of the document might be open without your realizing it. Click the Word button on the Windows taskbar to see the names of all the Word documents that are open.

ShowYour document is protected by a password

If the document owner protected the document with a password (including a blank password), you might be restricted to read-only access unless you enter the correct password. If you forget or lose a password, you cannot edit the document.

However, there is still the last but not the least way to recover MS Office password - take use of the third part utility, like Office Password Unlocker which offers three attack models: Dictionary attack, Brute-force attack, and Brute-force with Mask attack. With the three attacks, you can recover the forgotten password of MS word 2003-2007, MS Excel 2003-2007 and Power Point 2007

ShowThis modification is not allowed because the document is locked

If you see this message at the bottom of the application window when you try to modify a document: "This modification is not allowed because the document is locked," the document is protected with an editing restriction of No changes (Read only) or Comments in Word 2003 (or a restriction of Comments in Word 2002 and Word 2000). The document author used the Protect Document features to restrict editing. Menu commands also might be unavailable, depending on the permissions that were granted to you by the document author.

Note When you open a document that is protected by Information Rights Management (IRM) in Word 2003, you might have permission to view the document but not to change it. When you open the document, the Shared Workspace task pane opens by default on the right side of the application window. In the task pane, click View My Permissions to see your permissions.
